Vale Cemetery Preservation, Inc. (VCPI) is a dedicated to preserving and maintaining the beauty and history of Vale Cemetery.
VCPI presents public programs on a variety of topics including history, gravestone cleaning and maintenance, and nature walks. VCPI also raises funds through grants and donations to be used by Vale Cemetery Association (VCA) to renew and restore the buildings, grounds, and memorials.

- Invitation to Juneteenth ceremonies
- Invitation to Memorial Day observance
- Genealogy assistance using the cemetery records
How VCPI spends its funds:
- Advertising for tours and events
- Purchasing geraniums and wreaths for Memorial Day and Christmas
- Administrative staff
- Purchase refreshments for event participants
- Purchase and repairs of landscaping equipment
- In 2024, it received a NYS Urban Forestry Grant that paid for a comprehensive tree survey conducted by Davey Tree Service. The survey of the Cemetery's 60 acres also identified sick, dead, or dangerous trees which require treatment or removal.

What's next?
- VCPI, in conjunction with VCA, is preparing requests for proposals for an historic building survey of the Caretaker's House, a first step towards a full restoration.
