Vale Cemetery will observe Memorial Day with a formal ceremony which will include Taps, a flag raising, and the National Anthem. Veterans' groups representing all branches of the military and local dignitaries will participate.
The ceremony will be held at the Veterans Section located on the east side of the Cemetery's main entrance road at 907 State Street.
Tours, unless otherwise noted, start at 2 p.m. from the Caretaker's Cottage adjacent to the main entrance on State Street.
There is ample parking available and due to the size of the cemetery/park a shuttle bus is used. There is a $10 donation requested with children under 12 free.
