Join Vale Cemetery and ReTree Schenectady for an Arbor Day tree planting ceremony at Vale.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m and will include the reading of an Arbor Day proclamation and the planting of a tulip tree.
Vale Cemetery (and the adjacent Vale Park) provide a welcome green space for our Schenectady neighbors. The combined Cemetery and Park includes a forest of over 60 different tree species, a diverse understory, and a variety of songbirds and other wildlife.
The ceremony is free, open to the public, and all are welcome to join us.

Tours, unless otherwise noted, start at 2 p.m. from the Caretaker's Cottage adjacent to the main entrance on State Street.
There is ample parking available and due to the size of the cemetery/park a shuttle bus is used. There is a $10 donation requested with children under 12 free.
